I think skincare is really important. Whether you love beauty, makeup and pampering or if you just do it as it has to be done a good skincare routine will make all the difference to your glow, radiance and general confidence. All makeup artists will tell you that the key to great makeup is good skincare and only you can do this for yourself.

I have shared my skincare routine before but over time as I discover new products it changes. My skincare routine also changes with the weather and how my skin adapts. Sometimes a product I have used and loved for years will all of a sudden do nothing for my skin so I have to adapt my skincare routine to my forever changing (and sadly ageing) skin.

I start with a good cleanser to refresh my skin and keep it clean. I love the Estée Lauder Perfectly clean foaming cleanser.

Once I come out of the shower the first thing I do is apply lip balm then currently I am using the Bio Essence gold water with the Natura Siberica eye cream, under my eyes. I let this settle into my skin while I decide what to wear. Then I use the Dr Perricone Face moisturiser tint which I am loving at the moment. My go-to moisturiser is always the Clinique Moisture Surge.

So when it comes to removing makeup, I have no moved away from cleansing wipes as they do dry out your skin. I still always have a pack or two just incase I am travelling or really really tired (or feeling lazy!) I think the Sephora Eye Makeup remover is one of the best and use this to remove all my eye makeup. I then remove the rest of my makeup with the Bioré Deep Pore Charcoal Cleanser and a warm flannel. I then apply eye cream again but this time on my lids as well and then either the Time Bomb Flashback Night Cream or the Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate so I am actually getting some ‘beauty sleep’.
