NYX is a fabulous makeup brand which has grown from strength to strength over the past couple of years especially. When I first discovered NYX it was not as accessible in the UK as it now. When NYX displays started popping up in Boots I was over the moon! Now I can buy my must-haves from NYX simply in my local Boots (which happens to be a big with two floors) or online. No wonder I have the best of NYX at my fingertips!
I recently had a little NYX haul, I went into Boots to buy two NYX products and of course ended up with six extra! I actually went to buy the HD Finishing powder in the shade Banana and the matte setting spray. The HD Finishing powder is my everyday powder I use to set my concealer and I also use this for baking. I love how lightweight yet durable this powder is. For me, it is like the luxury Ben Nye powder in a pressed powder format. It really is that good!
The Matte Finish Setting Spray has been a firm favourite for a while now. I do not leave the house without 2-3 sprays all over my face to ensure my make-up does not budge and you know what? It really doesn’t! I love this quick drying setting spray that does such a good job. The Matte Blotting Paper has been a new discovery for me, these are so useful to discreetly pat over your face, lifting any shine and mattifying those areas instead. I keep a pack in my handbags for emergencies.
Dupe alert! For years I have used the MAC paint pots as my trusted eyeshadow base, but I saw the NYX version in Boots and thought I would give it a go. I am really impressed! The packaging isn’t very exciting but the product itself does a fab job! It has the same consistency as the MAC paint pots and is a good base that helps my eyeshadow to stay. I may have possibly converted…
I have such a weakness for lip products and I am currently obsessed with anything matte, suede or velvet in finish. So when I saw these new Liquid Suede lipsticks I just had to! I got a pinky nude (obvs) and a good classic red, these are not the best liquid lipsticks I have tried but they are still good and in comparison to some high end ones they are really good. They do not flake off and I love the liquid suede finish they have. They are well pigmented but have a sheer consistency.
Whenever I see a felt tip liner, I just feel like I have to get it just to try it out. I love them, they are foolproof and just so easy to use. I like this one, the nib is not too big so you can control how thick or thin you want your liner to be. If lipstick is one weakness my other weakness has to be glitter! I am literally like a magpie! I haven’t used this particular bronze glitter pot yet but I love the gold one I already have so I know this is going to be just perfect for the upcoming party season.

Great picks! I’ve recently tried the NYX Suede lipstick and really liked it – would you mind sharing which liquid lipsticks do you think are even better?
Thank you! I am literally working on a full liquid lipstick post and which ones I like best, will go up in a couple of weeks x
