Now that the festive season is well and truly over, the January blues really kick in. The dark winter evenings and shivering through the frosty mornings can leave us all feeling a bit dull and in need of something to brighten our days. The perfect time for our favourite designers to launch their Spring/Summer 2013 campaigns then! Along with launching their new ranges in store within the next couple of months, which means…brightening up your wardrobe with a spot of shopping ❤

First up is Louis Vuitton, using buttercup yellow and a 60s inspired checkerboard print, it is the brightest of campaigns underpinning one of the biggest trends for Spring/Summer, monochrome. The eye-catching and playful campaign certainly puts winter behind us. The six-minute show in Paris last October was a stage of checks, large and small, floral embroideries were stitched in squares creating checks and even the infamous ‘Speedy‘ bag turns into a cube.

Speaking of playful campaigns, model of the year (2012) Cara Delevigne, is the new face of DKNY as well as shooting for the new Burberry campaign with young Romeo Beckham. Taking us 30 years on from the Louis Vuitton campaign, DKNY is 90s inspired taking us to the streets of New York with splashes of colour.

The collection brings together some key trends for the forthcoming season, tailored suits with a touch of femininity and back to basics with black and white all underpinned with summer brights – racer back floor length gowns in bright yellow. leather trimmed skirts and thigh high slits. Forget about the winter blues, here come the bright beach blues ♥
