You may remember my article for the Metro Blogs a few weeks back on Jenny Packham’s 25th anniversary celebrations. Staging a free catwalk show at the V&A museum showcasing some of her most memorable pieces known for intricate detailing and gorgeous draping on red carpet dresses.

As well all know, the Duchess of Cambridge has always been a fan of the designer during pregnancy, before and even wore a Jenny Packham dress for her new Prince’s first appearance. The British designer’s website even crashed due to all the attention that blue polka dot dress got.

‘It is wonderful to see a celebrity wearing one of your designs,’

During her anniversary celebrations the designer spoke about her Hollywood link and how New York Fashion Week is right for the brand at the moment. The show at the V&A featured 45 dresses from Jenny Packham’s remarkable career, including some red carpet worthy numbers who have never seen the catwalk before, not to mention the sparkling white gown made especially for the finale of the occasion.

‘It is wonderful to see a celebrity wearing one of your designs,’ says the designer, who’s dressed everyone from the Duchess of Cambridge to Angelina Jolie. ‘But, really, I don’t think it matters who wears it. It’s just as special to me if someone gets in touch to say how much they enjoyed wearing one of my gowns on their wedding day.’

It’s safe to say we can expect more red carpet glamour, timeless bridal gowns for A-list celebs and some iconic catwalk pieces in the next 25 years ♥
