I recently bought a new set of brushes, being a complete brush addict I just had to! My usual foundation brush started to shed a lot of hair and I was on the look out for a new favourite. I had heard a few people mention Japonesque® and then stumbled upon the brand one day walking through John Lewis, the brushes look so sleek and felt very soft. I assumed they would be really expensive as they looked so high end and I didn’t have time to look at prices so I left it. Of course I had to go home and look online as I couldn’t stop thinking about these brushes! I was pleasantly surprised to find that these brushes are actually very reasonably priced and discovered that Japonesque® do a full range of make-up! With a lot of determination I stopped pining over the make-up and focussed on brushes, I then came across the complexion trio. I could not believe this gorgeous looking set of brushes which promised flawless skin for just £20! I ordered them and hoped for the best…
As these brushes were just £20 I had my doubts, I thought they would be cheaply made and the bristles would probably be a bit scratchy. I was very wrong! The angled kabuki brush is so soft but still firm as it has a lot of soft hairs that are compact which means it is great for buffing in foundation and bb creams. I love the natural finish it can achieve without any brush stroke marks, this has now become an everyday brush for me. The small concealer brush really is the perfect shape to pinpoint those spots and softly blend the concealer around the edges, the bristles are soft and compact with a small point. The duo fibre brush is so amazing for giving that airbrush effect, I sometimes use it as the last step in my make-up routine just to give me that look. The bristles are super soft and it’s a great brush when you are applying make-up on make-up for liquids, cream and powder products.
The smaller size of these brushes means they are perfect to carry around for touch ups and creating day to night looks at your desk or work place. I am so pleased that I got the Japonesque® Complexion Trio, I have a feeling I’ll be wanting more…good thing Christmas is coming! I mean a girl can never have to many make-up brushes ♥
