about elongating silhouettes and creating impulsive angles

The all new Autumn Winter collection by London designer, J.W. Anderson is about elongating silhouettes and creating impulsive angles. The navy panelled dress adds a touch of 70s vibe to the collection with true elegance, the irregular panel gives the illusion of a longer figure. Electric blue injects a burst of colour to my rather neutral style edit, a typical example of Anderson’s girl-meets-boy separates paired with black very slim-leg tailored trousers. For a more feminine touch, I would wear the silk shirt with a black leather mini bringing in a touch of the punk trend.

Adding a graphical twist to classic knitwear, this pintucked grey knit is a timeless piece for any winter wardrobe. You can’t go wrong with grey knitwear, it is so easy to style up for casual day-wear but add a statement necklace and a pair of heels and you’re front row seat ready! Kate Moss and Victoria Beckham are regular fans of a simple grey knit styled with skinny jeans or printed trousers, a tuxedo jacket and of course stilettos. I love leather look pieces especially in colour and navy is so sophisticated, it’s a subdued colour but gives maximum impact and is still a change from the usual black leather mini. This is the exact simple boxy shape that would look great with a grey knitwear piece.

What are your favourite pieces from the J.W. Anderson collection? Will you be wearing the comic print pieces or keep your wardrobe more understated like my style edit?
