My Go-To Beauty Tools ♥

My Go-To Beauty Tools ♥

To assist my everyday make-up routine, I have a few go-to beauty tools which I cannot be without. Make-up items aside and brushes aside (even though I have included my must-have brush) here are my go-to beauty tools.

Beauty Blender – I will probably say this about most of my go-to beauty tools but I honestly do not know what I did before I had this! I have the original for applying foundation, blending foundation, baking my concealer and touching up throughout the day if I need to. I use the mini one to blend my concealer, getting right into the corners of my eyes. I use them everyday without fail and they are an absolute must-have for me.

Setting Spray – I am obsessed! Not only to set my make-up so it stays intact all day but also to wet my brush to make my eyeshadows more intense and yes you guessed it, to stay in place!

Blending Brushes – I am totally obsessed with make-up brushes, I am not even going to try to deny it but the one brush that is my absolute go-to is a blending brush (sometimes called the Crease Brush). Obviously fabulous for blending and applying eyeshadows, if you only have one eye make-up brush make it a blending brush. They are also great for applying highlight to very precise points on your face and to apply and blend concealer. My favourites are the MAC 217, Zoeva, Smashbox and Sigma.

Cotton Buds – I always have a couple to hand, to catch tears when applying to the waterline or if I sneeze! I always seem to be applying mascara to my lids instead of my lashes and to neaten up eyeliner. Always useful.

Tissues – I always have tissues to hand when applying make-up so I can wipe my finger tips and set my lipstick.

Face Flannel – This is to remove make-up at the end of the day, nothing works better than cleanser, warm water and a good face flannel.

Thread – For years I have been threading my own upper lip, my eyebrows I get threaded by a professional but I like to keep thread to hand for the odd few hairs between my brows and to do my upper lip whenever I need to.

Tweezers – in between threading appointments I do pluck out the odd hair so my eyebrows look presentable. I love these mini tweezers from Browtician for when I am on the go.

Nail File – nails have a habit of breaking or chipping at the worst times! I always make sure I have a nail file to hand, at home, in my handbag and in my car. I am loving the pretty lottie nail files at the moment, they are not only great strong files but look pretty when you pull them out too.

It goes without saying that of course I also need a mirror and make-up! What are your favourite go-to beauty tools?
