You may have seen my post on my new Balyage hair a month or so back which I had done at HOB Salons, Baker Street. One of the greatest things about Balyage is that you don’t have to worry about ‘getting roots’ as the effect almost looks better with some root growth. The only problem I have is grey hairs! These will always be an issue no matter what hair colour I go for (unless it’s an all over grey) So, a couple of days before the Cosmo Blog Awards I went to my local HOB Salons in Hatch End to cover up those unsightly grey hairs.
For years my favourite colourist, Pam has done my hair and luckily she is now back from maternity leave so she was able to do my hair for the Cosmo Blog Awards. The great thing about the Hatch End branch is that there are quite a few talented colour stylists so I know I can trust most of them with my hair colour if my regular is not around. Even though I loved the blonde, bronzy tones in my hair, we decided to go just a tad darker as it is now Autumn. Plus over time the blonde would show through anyway. This process was so much quicker than when I’ve had my roots done in the past as it is all freehand and to be honest just a matter of covering the greys and blending the rest of the tones with what is already there.
The result, as you can see is a shiny glossy colour still with the balyage effect but slightly warmer and darker for this season. There is something so special about going to my local HOB Salons, even though the brand itself has a very professional and personalised approach my local salon is full of friendly stylists with a lot of energy and a family like atmosphere.
