River Island is loving a collaboration at the moment and the build up to London Fashion Week it seems ♥

Last year saw the launch of River Island’s, Design Forum; initiated with the intent to give emerging designers the chance to deliver a collection to a much wider audience, and that of the high street. William Tempest was part of the collaboration with River Island last year, a range filled with eveningwear separates in black and nude fabrics with exclusively designed textiles.

London based designer, Georgia Hardinage will be collaborating with the high street retailer this year for a Spring/Summer collection. The collection will feature both clothing and accessories taking inspiration from what Hardinage is known for, abstract prints against soft fabrics contrasting with structural shapes. For this collection Hardinage has drawn on inspiration from painter and sculptor H.R Giger, with a great feeling of ‘beautiful and dark drama’. Georgia says she is fascinated with the art of sculpture and loves to work this element into her clothing, which is very apparent in her designs.

The collection will launch at London Fashion Week, with a short film featured in the Fash/On Film video which will be auctioned for charity. The 14-piece range will be on sale in River Island stores from March, this collaboration works well with the Rhianna collaboration as it appeals to celebrities such as Lady Gaga and No.1 Diva…Beyonce ♥
