The Little Black Dress Launch

‘Women think of every colour, except the absence of colours. I have said that black had everything. White to. They have an absolute beauty. It is perfect harmony. ‘ Gabrilelle ‘Coco’ Chanel

Last week I went to the Little Black Dress launch event at the very chic Cafe Royale Hotel in London. Buzzing with fashion bloggers, press and the odd celebrity sporting a dress from the collection.

The Little Black Dress Launch

A little black dress has been a wardrobe staple for any woman for decades now, Coco Chanel’s simple black shift dress back in 1926 made women all over the world realise they needed an LBD. For work, a party or holiday for any shape, size or age, the little black dress adds elegance with timeless style to any women, making the LBD the go-to dress.

Now Little Black Dress have launched their very own collection of black dresses to suit a women’s style and mood, be it sexy, glamorous, feminine, classic or unique. Taking inspiration from classic and modern-day style icons such as Princess Diana and Kate Moss. This collection is timeless, classic and chic, showing the only colour you need is black.

“Our collection has taken inspiration from some of the world’s most fashionable women, dating back to Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany’s up to modern-day icons such as Rita Ora and Victoria Beckham,” says Little Black Dress Editor Nathalie. “The gorgeous dresses are a perfect combination of timeless style and contemporary design, all in this season’s most-wanted, sumptuous fabrics. Get ready for sparkling sequins, cool Scuba and a flourish of feathers! Even better, our luxury LBDs start at just £65.”

The Little Black Dress Launch

At the launch event I was spoilt for choice with 20 different styles, all the models looked fabulous making the decision to choose my favourite even harder. Each dress is named after a style icon and after a lot of thought, trying on and looking at the models I have narrowed it down to two favourites! The Rita dress (2nd from the left on the front facing models) and the Kate dress (first on the left) which is inspired by one of my greatest style icons, Kate Moss.

Now I can be sure, that whenever I have one of those ‘I can’t find anything to wear’ moments I have the Little Black Dress collection to turn to ♥
