As you all probably know by now, I am a huge make-up brush addict! I use brushes for everything, I don’t like getting my hands dirty (must be the inner Princess in me) and I just love the finish a brush gives. I don’t exactly love washing make-up brushes but Baby A does, so it’s a ‘fun activity’ we do together! I have mainly been a fan of MAC and Sigma brushes and then more recently I discovered Zoeva which I was pleasantly surprised with because they are quite affordable. I’ll admit, I have in the past been quite snobby about make-up brushes assuming that cheaper brushes will just malt and just not apply as well. I was wrong to make this judgement and I know this now.
I have recently been trying out Lottie brushes and I am honestly very impressed. Obviously they look absolutely gorgeous and are just made for Instagram (just me?) Now because they are so pretty to look and super cheap I did not think the actual quality would be great, I mean the bristles match the handle, surely that is not a serious make-up brush. To my surprise though they are super super soft and apply make-up well. I find the bigger brushes from the range are better and softer, I love the powder and bronzing brushes. The angled eyeliner or brow brush is fabulous and very firm which I like, I also love the blush pink colour!
The pencil brush is a great shape but the bristles are just a tad too firm, if they were a bit softer it would be easier to blend with. I have washed these brushes a couple of times now and they have not malted at all and the bigger brushes go back to their original shape and softness which is a big bonus.
Overall, I have been really impressed with these ever so pretty Lottie London brushes especially for the price point. Have you tried Lottie London brushes? What do you think?
