A Magical Frozen Christmas

A Magical Frozen Christmas

Ok, can I just say something crazy? This year we are going to have a magical Christmas all with a Frozen theme, ok it doesn’t sound that crazy since most parents will be contemplating the same thing but I just wanted to use that line. Since 2013 (that’s only a year but we have acquired a lot of Frozen toys, books, stickers, tops, plates…) when Frozen took over our lives, a frosty winter doesn’t seem so bleak but more of a magical story between two sisters and being an Ice Queen doesn’t seem so bad either. Disney’s Frozen has very quickly become our favourite Christmas movie, not just for Baby A and myself but the whole family! Husband, brothers and even grandparents.

A Magical Frozen Christmas

Obviously, Summer doesn’t just win Olaf’s heart we still love it but the snow scene and frozen lake setting of the North Mountain in the movie has such a magical appeal which is perfect for Christmas. Baby A has been planning her Christmas since about May. Obviously, we will all sit as a family and watch Frozen (until Eastenders comes on) but to really get into the spirit of things our home is to resemble the interior of Elsa’s Ice Castle. Well, the plans so far are to have a white fibre optic tree (check!) decorated with silver, icy blue, pale turquoise and a small hint of purple to represent Anna of course. At the top of the tree we need a sparkly snowflake, well that’s easy enough! Baby A then wants artificial snow sprinkled all over the house but we can just stick to under the tree area. Of course, all presents must be wrapped in the Frozen uniform colours only (there goes that lovely animal print paper I found!) and contents have already been listed from the Disney Store.

To top off the entire Frozen Christmas experience for Baby A, a visit to Lapland with Transun would be the icing on the cake or should I say the tip of the iceberg? Taking Baby A to see the reindeer, snowmobiles and meeting Santa would definitely be my act of true love ♥
