I know it has been ages seen I did a Birchbox review as they should be monthly and I promise from now on they will be! Going back to March, Birchbox teamed up with the talented Lulu Guinness giving us an insight into her Life Lessons.
The packaging for the March Birchbox obviously stood out more than anything, I loved the signature monochrome stripes of Lulu Guinness with a flash of red. The stripy stick of rock looked great but I haven’t eaten it as it is just so bad for your teeth!
Dr Brandt Pores No More – If you watch my YouTube videos, you’ll know that I love this a little bit! I mentioned it in my March favourites and used it in My Everyday Make-Up Tutorial. I love the texture which leaves your skin feeling silky and it is very similar to the Porefessional by Benefit. I use this as a primer for under my foundation or BB cream but it should really be used almost like a serum or as you would a cleanser. Try it and see what works best for you, but it is definitely worth a try!
Korres Citrus Body Milk – this leaves your skin feeling hydrated, it is best to use this when your skin is still a little damp from the shower. It has a lovely citrus like scent…hence the name!
Molton Brown Hand Lotion – smells nice, small enough to fit in my handbag…nothing to complain about!
Benefit Stay Don’t Stray – this keep your eyeshadow in place and makes sure it does not budge! This lightweight formula also brightens your under eye area when applied before concealer. I love the easy applicator too ♥
The April Birchbox was inspired by local food markets, taking into account gorgeous scents that are good enough to eat.
Yes to Cucumbers Facial Wipes – as well as leaving your skin feeling squeaky clean and cool these wipes contain aloe vera and anti-inflammatory green tea extract to improve your skin’s general well-being over time. It’s just like putting cucumbers on your eyes for a few seconds but without actually having to carry around cucumbers!
Lord & Berry Eye Pencil – this little pencil is effective, I have been using it in the day just as a simple top liner to give some definition to my eyes but not too dramatic. Once the tip is softened the pencil glides on so easily ♥
The Balm How ‘Bout them Apples Lip & Cheek Balm – this is so cute! I love anything that has a buildable formula and this does for the lips and cheeks. For the cheeks, I prefer to use a stippling brush just so my fingers don’t get mucky, either way though it is a nice shade with the ease of using it how you want.
Gala’s Gems Nail Polish – This month, Birchbox actually asked everyone to choose what shade they would like to receive, this was a lovely touch. I chose Gold Struck, a soft gold with a hint of summer shimmer. As pastel shades are huge this season I am sure I will be wearing this a lot.
Laura Mercier Body Butter – this is just pure luxury in a tube, it smells good enough to eat and the vanilla scent lasts for quite a while, leaving your skin feeling soft ♥
