Last week saw the launch of Alexander McQueen’s first ever menswear store, in the prestigious location, Saville Row. The highly anticipated store has the largest offering for menswear in the world, homing it’s ready-to-wear collection including accessories. Within the year of opening, the iconic brand plans to open an in house bespoke tailoring service, in the basement of the boutique store. This will reflect the brand’s ongoing passion for fine tailoring.
As well as the clothes offering which are inspirational pieces of art in themselves, the image and personality of the store are reflected through the fixtures and fittings to give the feel of an art gallery. The walls have the signature McQueen skulls and open wings plastered into the panels, animal claws are evident on console tables and a military red carpet runs through the length of the store. British military influences are evident throughout the store as well as Victorian influences within the ready-to-wear collection.
It is almost impossible to leave the boutique store empty handed, luckily there are accessories so you don’t have to leave with a 3 piece suit!
