With Mothers Day fast approaching, my mum and I were invited for a Spa Day and Afternoon Tea at the Radisson Blu, Heathrow. Starting off at the Pegasus spa which offers three treatment rooms, a relaxation room and a wet room consisting of a steam, sauna and plunge pool…the perfect place to wind down. The spa also offers a range of massages, facials and beauty treatments, I was treated to a relaxing body massage and had a nice chat with the therapist about the importance of relaxation.

Mothers never rest, they are always thinking about their children whether they are the age of two, sixteen or forty. Becoming a mum myself I have realised how true this is, even when I am asleep I am dreaming or think about my Baby A and work which actually means my body is not resting. How many women reading this feel the same way? Mothers get colds and have days when they just cannot get out of bed but they still have to do the school run, go to work, run a household and love their family unconditionally. As comforting and loving as they are, all mothers need time to relax and unwind. If you’re a mother reading this, take time out for yourself this Mothers Day…you deserve it ♥

Our Afternoon Tea took place at the vibrant and trendy Trunk Restaurant, the decor takes your breath away with luxurious fabrics, ambient lighting and ornate decor.

We were served a selection of gourmet wraps with roasted vegetables, finger sandwiches, cakes, pastries and then the most delicious soft scones with cream and fresh strawberries. There was also a wide offering of teas and hot chocolate. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we are actually returning to the hotel this weekend with Baby A and the rest of the family ♥
