Last year we saw the launch of the Naked Smokey Eye palette and after months of deliberating I can now safely say that this is officially my favourite from the Naked palettes. Actually no, it’s the original Naked palette actually… ok looks like there’s a tie between the two! That just proves that this palette is amazing because I was and still am so in love with the original Naked palette.
I definitely think this palette’s packaging tops the rest of the Naked palettes and it is the perfect design for a smokey eye palette. It just looks so chic and it is a lot more durable than the original Naked palette, of which I’m not a huge fan of the packaging at all.
The brush isn’t an after thought either, on one end you have a tapered blending brush which is essential for a smokey eye and on the other end you have a pencil brush which again is essential for creating a smokey eye look.
This palette has the perfect mix of shades to create a smokey eye look, there are so many shades of grey but all different finishes. You have matte, shimmer, glitter and even velvet finishes. There are also some beautiful nude and light shades to create day looks. I think this is a lovely day to-night palette and I love palettes you can go from day to-night with!
I think the bar has now been set exceptionally high for the Naked palettes, what can they possibly launch to top this? Of course there’s the Gwen Steffani palette (review coming up) which is beyond words but that’s not part of the Naked range, does that mean the Naked palette range is complete?
