The Nicole Farhi brand thrives in giving luxurious fabrics and individuality in it’s collections. This season is very much about having all the items yourself that in the past you may have wanted to steal from your boyfriend’s wardrobe, think layered and tailored masculine pieces in creams, greys, navy and black styled with chunky cosy knits and wardrobe staples with fur panels. ‘These are the sorts of clothes appreciated best close up – and so today’s presentation format over a show worked best.’
Bringing back the brand’s French chic heritage, winter white offers a more feminine edge dressed with tones of grey in heavy masculine fabrics.
Soft, unstructured silhouettes represent the original easy Nicole Farhi trademark. Traditional fabrics like herringbone, check, stripes and art-inspired prints are reinterpreted for a modern day wardrobe. This season the outerwear is remarkable, with oversized boyfriend shapes, bold colours and fur panels. Unlikely pink tones are on biker jackets and masculine sillhouettes not make the collection look girly in any way.

In my Nicole Farhi Winter Wishlist there has to be one of my favourites shades of the season, cobalt blue. This silk shirt has a slim line collar and a stripe placket for added detailing, it would look great with a tailored mini skirt from the collection or skinny trousers. Snow is on the way and what better way to get cosy than with a big chunky intarsia knit, oversized for that ‘got my own boyfriend knit’ look. If you love the look of fur but don’t feel like you can pull off a full fur coat then this fur panelled biker is perfect, I love it! As it’s winter, there’s another knit on my wishlist, with it’s striped and mohair panels it looks effortlessly chic. Always on the lookout for the perfect winter coat, my search ends with this suede shearling coat completed with a Toscana fur collar. Finally, a wardrobe staple with a modern brush stroke print and just a hint of pink, the oversized silk shirt ♥
