October really is a long month, it feels like ages since I did my September beauty favourites! As October is ‘wear it pink’ month I have a couple of pink goodies thrown in to last month’s favourites.
Always on a mission to achieve the perfect flawless skin, I took almost every beauty blogger’s advice and got hold of a beauty blender. It has been on my wishlist for a while but a couple of month’s ago I ordered it from good old Amazon. It was a great decision! This is more than a beauty sponge, it really is the secret to flawless skin for any amount of coverage. It works best when wet and it feels so soft against your skin, I stipple (press repeatedly) on my skin rather than stroke for a photo finish effect. It is so easy to clean and doesn’t just absorb the make-up from your face. Best of all…it’s pink and so pretty!
My next pink product is the No 7 Radiance Blush palette, it is so pretty to look at! Usually, this shade of blush would be too light for my skin-tone but this product has been perfect as a subtle highlighter. During the day, I use the light pink tones just above my cheekbone and for more of an evening look I use the white highlight. It has the perfect sheen and I love it! I got mine in my goody bag from the Boots Christmas press day but being No 7 it is a great bargain!
Clarins Hand and Nail Treatment Cream is an oldie but a goody! With the cold snap hitting hard, my hands always get dry. This cream smells amazing and isn’t greasy, forming a protective glove against anti-ageing, dry and chapped skin. I now keep this little treat in my handbag for a little bit of luxury every now and then.
‘Beauty starts with great skin. The right foundation will make you look like you’re not wearing any foundation at all. You’ll just have even toned, great-looking skin.’
For everyday I don’t like to wear foundation and tend to stick to tinted moisturisers, so it may seem a bit strange that I am talking about wearing a foundation everyday. The Bobbi Brown Extra Repair foundation gives the perfect coverage but yet looks so natural and feels like a moisturiser on your skin. It is infused with Evening Primrose Oil and Shea Butter which means it’s a foundation that nourishes the skin to give an overall healthy glow. As a strong believer in wearing SPF daily, this product also has SPF 25 making it a favourite for me! As Bobbi Brown herself says ‘Beauty starts with great skin. The right foundation will make you look like you’re not wearing any foundation at all. You’ll just have even toned, great-looking skin.’

Another oldie here, I have raved about mac paint pots before but Painterly is such a great eye-shadow base and a great neutral tone. It is perfect on it’s with a little powder over the top for that ‘no make-up look’ which I do often for the nursery drop-off. It’s matte and doesn’t budge, keeping a grip on your eye-shadow! Making it one of my top beauty favourites for October!
