I was recently sent some John Frieda Frizz Ease products to try. Perfect timing really as I did feel like my hair wasn’t getting the TLC it should be, especially in Summer.
Starting off with the Smooth Start Hydrating Shampoo, which is meant to start the smoothing process early on so by the time you get to use heat appliances there is hardly any frizz to fight. Along with the Smooth Start Hydrating Conditioner my hair felt very soft and silky, even on the ends. Using just the shampoo, my hair felt clean but not smooth so these two work as a team. Both the hydrating shampoo and conditioners have a lightweight formula so my hair didn’t feel heavy after washing. They are also gentle enough to use every other day, which is how often I wash my hair. A very important factor for me in shampoos and conditioners are if they nourishing for coloured hair. This isn’t a range that is specifically for coloured hair but my colour hasn’t faded at all and the products have not stripped the natural oils from my hair but added more with the olive oil, which has played a big part in the smoothing out I think!
After towel drying and combing through my wet hair, I have been using the 6 Effects Hair Serum which is great because it also acts as a heat protector (cutting out a step for me…wonderful!) At first because my hair is long I was using 2 pumps of the serum and found that my hair was getting greasy a lot quicker even though I wash it every other day. I have now cut down to just one pump and that is the perfect amount, a little goes a long way with this! If you hair is on the greasy side then I would not recommend using a serum at all. Once my hair is fully styled, the Secret Agent Touch Up Creme has been great for my flyaway hairs, the formula of this product is not greasy at all and more watery so even though a little goes a long way, if you do put on a little extra it won’t make your hair greasy.
I am pleased with this range and would recommend it to anyone who has the battle of fighting frizz, especially for those summer days when you try to go au natural… ♥
