We are just a couple of weeks away from New York Fashion Week which will kick-start us looking into trends for next Winter. For now though, let’s look forward to Summer and remember that it may be cold here in the UK but Spring is on its way. Here are the Spring Summer Beauty trends 2016, there is something for everyone. Whether you liked bold lips, big lashes or love experimenting with colour, it’s all in this year’s beauty trends.

The red lip trend is not going anywhere, it’s a classic look that adds instant glamour. For Spring Summer it’s about wearing a matte red lip (my favourite kind!) Keeping the rest of your face simple but well contoured, add a red matte lip which can be worn day or night.
My absolute favourite red matte lipsticks are the Rimmel by Kate Moss, Bourjois Rouge Velvet Edition, Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet and the NARS Audacious Lipstick in Rita. Topshop Unique and Victoria Beckham were also loving this look on the Spring Summer runways.

If bold red lips isn’t your thing or you fancy a bit of a change then fear not, another one of my favourite looks is rosy cheeks and lips. This look is about sophisticated pink, glowing skin with rosy cheeks and matching lips, it’s far from matte.
Big glamorous lashes were a huge trend last season but for Spring Summer the trend seems to be a bit more exaggerated with doll-like lashes seen on the Louis Vuitton and Michael Costello runways. It’s important to give the lower lashes just as much attention as the top lashes for this trend.
You can see my post on my
favourite mascaras, that will be sure to give you the ultimate flutter for this long lash trend.

A more wearable and less delicate trend for eyes is the 90s Kohl liner look, you can either go for a natural model off duty look a la Chloe or grunge it up like Julien McDonald. This is an easy look to create, just line your upper and lower waterline and smudge with your fingers. Notice the
straight out of the pool hair for Julien McDonald, this is a huge hair trend for Summer. My favourites and most blendable eyeliners to create this look are the
NARS Velvet Eyshadows Sticks,
Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on and the
NYX Jumbo Pencils, they are all fab!
This next trend is basically the same as the one above but it’s blue! You can really go for it with a thick liner as seen on the Proenza Schouler runway or simply line the waterline as seem on the Jonathan Saunders runway. This look goes with a very fresh and almost
no make-up, make-up look.
The perfect trend to get you in the mood for Summer, the tropical 70s look, adored by DVF and Jenny Packham. This look is about wearing colour on your eyes, loose beach waves and gorgeous skin, maybe adding a flower in your hair too. Finding green and blue eyeshadows is not a tough job, just choose your favourite and blend it on. This look is not about packing on the colour but blending on the blues and greens with a bigger brush to slightly diffuse the colour and give an almost watercolour effect. Be sure to look out for a tutorial on this look very soon ♥
