I have always used Vaseline on my lips for years, since school I have been obsessed with carrying around Vaseline and applying it to my lips every couple of hours. I have recently discovered that Vaseline is simply a barrier cream and does not add moisture to your lips at all or hydrate them which explains why my lips are constantly wanting more and more Vaseline applications as nothing is actually happening.

When I was asked to try a brand new lip balm on the market I obviously jumped at the chance to do so as my Vaseline dreams had been shattered. It contains pomegranate and rose hip which are known to be rich in antioxidants protecting your lips from environmental damage. It is ultra smooth and absorbs into your lips without leaving a sticky feeling.

Margo Marrone, the founder of the Organic Pharmacy said listened to her brand’s customers and said, ‘My customers have asked for a lip balm for years, but it has taken me almost as long to make one that I felt was perfect. It of course needed to protect the lips, but it also needed to go on smoothly like velvet and be non-sticky. The final formula contains all my favourite ingredients rose hip, shea butter and pomegranate – plus a hint of honey and orange to give a delicate flavour and great hydration.’

I love the tube packaging so you can either apply the lip balm straight onto your lips or with your finger. It absorbs nicely and creates a smooth base for perfect lipstick application. Even though I think this is a fantastic lip balm I do think it’s a little on the expensive side at £12 but then again it does a lot of good things!
