Trend Alert ♥ My Cosy Pastel Picks

Trend Alert ♥ My Cosy Pastel PicksThe frosty mornings have started, so why not get winter cosy in pastels, one of the biggest trends this season seen on almost every catwalk from Mulberry and Marc Jacobs to Louis Vuitton and Jonathan Saunders. Think buttercup yellow, candy floss pink, baby blues and pale ice grey.

Here are my top pastel pieces for this Winter, from luxury brands to high street, there is definitely a place in everyone’s wardrobe for at least one cosy pastel purchase.

I have said before that candy coloured coats are huge this season, when I say huge I mean literally! The more oversized the better for this trend. I love this  M&S cosy pink peacoat, perfect for keeping warm just as snow warnings are issued. Scarves are great all year round, to add a pop of colour in the style sense and keeping your neck warm for common sense! This floral printed scarf from Accessorize has the perfect mix of pastel hues adding a fashionable twist to any look. Knitwear always looks so much more cosy in pastel shades, giving a youthful look to your style. This two-tone cashmere jumper by Marc by Marc Jacobs is definitely on my Christmas wishlist, dressed with a simple mini or skinny jeans. I also love the Emilio Pucci straight off the catwalk angora cardigan, fluffy enough to keep warm throughout winter. Even though it’s cold, mini skirts still look so great in winter but keep warm with a quilted skirt like this one from Theysken’ Theory (available at Selfridges)

If you’re not quite ready to sparkle for the party season just yet, why not go for the ultimate effortlessly chic look with this gorgeous dress from Reiss. With an open back and slight peplum this dress ooozes feminine style and sophistication. Accessories are a great way to take on a trend and I love these two clutches in pastel tones, obviously the YSL tassle clutch is a luxury buy and another one for the Christmas wishlist but until then the Dune quilted clutch with stud detailing will do my nicely!
